Well I went to get my mail the other day. And I got an ENVELOPE! It looked like this: ![]() (you don't get to know my last name ♥). NOTICE the big red "CONFIDENTIAL" in the corner. I got REALLY REALLY excited. The most excited that I've been in a really long time. OF COURSE I had to RIP IT OPEN right there, in the mailroom. Because I am just that lame. This is what it looked like: ![]() (again with the last name) HAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA~~~~~~~~~~ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ In case you can't read it: "CONGRATULATIONS! You have been accepted to participate in North Central college's China/Japan Program for fall 2008. As many returning students have reported, studying abroad is a life-changing experience -- personally, academically, and professionally. We are pleased that you will be taking part in this opportunity and representing North Central College. Studying abroad comes with certain responsibilities: attending the required orientations and classes, making sure all your paperwork is correctly completed by the assigned deadline, and submitting deposits on time .... Congratulations again; we look forward to seeing you at your first orientation in April." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I WINNNNNN. (my friends Samantha2 also made it to the program. ♥♥♥) I don't know who else that I wanted to go with made it, but there was a girl in the mailroom that I kind of knew that got rejected. But she can totally apply again next year and get in, for sure. I'm nearly positive, because they hardly ever turn anyone away. I felt bad for her ... but like i said, she can get in next year no problem. So! I am excited. Labels: letter

This is the journal for orangerotted on her China/Japan Trip! This is what my college website has to say about the program: This unique dual-country program, launched in fall 2004, offers students the opportunity to live and study in both China and Japan over the course of 15 weeks. The program begins in Beijing, the modern capital of the People's Republic of China, with seven weeks of classes at the prestigious Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). Students will study Chinese culture with local faculty, take on course taught by an accompanying NCC faculty member, and complete the equivalent of Chinese 101 or higher, depending on their level of proficiency. In the second half of the fall term, students move to Kyoto, ancient capital of Japan, to complete their studies at the university in the area. They will continue in the course taught by the NCC professor, begin or continue the study of Japanese (completing at least the equivalent of Japanese 101), review Chinese language, and enroll in a course about Japanese culture taught by local faculty. I applied the 30th of January, and I find out around the 15th of February is I get accepted to the program ... I think that I will! I hope that I do ... Labels: about

Should this life sometime deceive you,Don't be sad or mad at it! On a gloomy day, submit: Trust - fair day will come, why grieve you? Heart lives in the future, so What if gloom pervade the present? All is fleeting, all will go; What is gone will then be pleasant. Если жизнь тебя обманет, Не печалься, не сердись! В день уныния смирись: День веселья, верь, настанет. Сердце в будущем живет; Настоящее уныло: Все мгновенно, все пройдет; Что пройдет, то будет мило. Pushkin. how to ...
